House REPILING AND LEVELING

Repiling is often needed if the existing piles have rotted or sunk into the ground, resulting in an unlevel house.  If this problem is not taken care of, it can result in structural damage to your home

We can help you determine whether or not your house needs repiling.  Some of the obvious signs that it might are:

  • House piles are old untreated timber that have more than likely begun to rot underground

  • Doors and windows in your home are not closing properly or floors are beginning to slope

  • Cracks are appearing in the walls

  • Concrete piles are beginning to sink or crack

Repiling involves demolishing any concrete structures attached to the house, including chimneys.  Using hydraulic jacks, we raise the house, remove the old piles and install a new pile foundation.  Once we are satisfied the repiling is perfect, we lower the dwelling onto the new foundations to give you back a house that is level.

This is an opportune time to decide if you want to add a lower level to your home, or simply want it raised slightly higher to take in any views, or provide better airflow underneath the house.
